First Among Equals received a grant of £12,000 to provide training in media related activities following consultation with local residents
Whittington Primary School PTA
Whittington Primary School received £600 from the ‘We Love Lichfield’ Fund to purchase a metal/ plastic storage shed for their PTA equipment. Having limited storage space, the new shed now provides easy centralised safe, shared access for committee members and school staff for future planned events. Whittington Primary School said,
”The wider community in the village regularly attend our summer fayres, Christmas fayres and occasional other events at the school. Improved, secure and centralised storage of resources will ensure we continue to succeed in putting on events without incurring expenses which would reduce the net amount raised. We expect at least ten years life from the shed, allowing the PTA to continue to its best effect to raise money for the school and its pupils”.
We Love Lichfield
The We Love Lichfield Fund has distributed over £5000 to various Lichfield based organisations in small grants of up to £500.
Whitmore District Village Hall
Whitmore Village Hall received £30,000 to help to pay for major renovations at the hall, providing a new entrance and facilities suitable for use by the disabled.
Status Grow
Status grow were awarded £1,720 through the Foundation. They wanted to be able to grow more fruit and vegetables and improve the growing area in Silverdale. Working with an experienced willow weaver they were able to train 10 people in the art of willow weaving whilst also creating a living willow fence that will continue to grow and improve for many years to come.
With the seeds, plants and garden related items they purchased they have been able to train volunteers in growing and gardening techniques and have been able to support those in food poverty with the food they have been able to grow.
Throughout the project they have worked with numerous people who have been ordered to undertake community service by the courts via Community Payback. With their support they have dug trenches for an electric cable to be fitted which now means they have been able to run two community events. They have also been able to create a multi-use community open space that can now be used by numerous groups that use the facility and have provided a safe, secure and beautiful area that is multi-functional and will meet the needs of all sectors of the community.

Newcastle Under Lyme Festival For Music, Speech & Drama used their £5000 to buy a grand piano for use at their annual festival.

Audley Parish Bowmen used their grant to buy new equipment.
Mid Staffordshire Mencap
Mid Staffordshire Mencap received over £11,000 to help to increase the availability of training to their users.
Home-Start
Homestart Stafford received funding to help pay for mentoring towards employment by a community champion- by using volunteers from within Home-Start and the SDVS Get Online team and providing opportunities for participants to become volunteers on the project.
Headway
Headway South Staffordshire used their grant of £9,000 to provide confidence building sessions to their service users.
Rising Brook Writers
Rising Brook Writers received over £2000 to help to pay for the publishing of a book of stories written by their members.
Great Haywood Wednesday Club
Great Haywood Wednesday Club received nearly £1000 to cover the cost of their rent
Alzheimer’s Drop in Club
Alzheimers Drop In Club in Stone received over £4000 to help pay for rent and room hire charges.
South Moorlands FC
South Moorlands Football Club received £1292 to pay for new goal posts and £2500 towards a new mower for the upkeep of their pitch
North Staffs Riding for the Disabled
North Staffs Riding For The Disabled received just under £5000 to help to pay for pony hire.
Moorlands Activity Group
Moorlands Activity Group received £10,000 to launch a new club to help fight anti-social behaviour and to provide youth activities.
Biddulph East Community Association
Biddulph East Community Association received nearly £10,000 to expand their Work Club provision.
Hammersley Hayes Resident Action Group
Hammersley Hayes Residents Action Group received nearly £10,000 to expand their Work Club.
Featherstone Youth for Change
Featherstone Youth For Change used their grant of £205 to buy sports equipment and garden games for use by the local youth community
Holly Busy Centre
The Hollybush Centre received over £20,000 to help to set up a creche, cover staff costs and run a project to promote employment in Blurton
Fegg Hayes Residents Association
Fegg Hayes Residents Association supply advice and help to local residents as most do not have access to a phone or computer.
They received £2,727.00 through the People Power Fund to help keep the office open and empowered local people to develop their skills through volunteering.
Residents can now still call in at any time and they have been able to organise trips for adults and children. As an outcome they have had reduced reported incidents of anti-social behaviour.
Federation of Stadium Communities
FSC used their grant of £11,000 to set up a photography project and buy new equipment
Hope Centre
The Hope Centre received £25,000 to update their IT suite and to extend their provision of job search facilities, CV/letter writing classes and money management courses.
St Johns Centre
St John’s Centre, Trent Vale used their grant to set up a training facility to allow volunteers access to the equipment that they require to complete their chosen NVQs. The equipment is also used to allow members of the community to undertake voluntary work for the St John’s Centre and other community based projects in Trent Vale, Springfields and Oakhill.
North Staffs Mining History Group
North Staffs Mining History Group used their grant to pay for the printing of copies of their book to donate to Staffordshire libraries.

Relate North Staffordshire received over £12,000 to increase their provision during the recession
Bentilee Volunteers
Bentilee Volunteers received £26,000 towards their Neighbourlink project, providing outreach services to residents of the Bentilee estate.
LGBT Staffordshire
The LGBT Network received over £30,000 to pay for event staging and to set up a website and helpline.
