The Malam Fund is open all year round and awards grants of up to £1000 to organisations from a private fund, that is an amalgamation of three former trusts – The Edward Malam Convalescent Fund, The Heath Memorial Trust and The John Pepper Fund.  The fund will make awards to organisations who are providing a day trip, outing or social activities for their service users.  In December the fund will make set awards of £750 to organisations who will be providing meals to older people, those who are socially isolated, rough sleepers or the homeless at Christmas.
