Voluntary Transport for the Disabled
I would like to thank the Staffordshire Community Foundation for their generous donation to assist us with our fuel costs for the coming year. Each year our fuel costs become more difficult to cover and 2008 has seen the highest escalation to date. Your donation has allowed us to hold potential increases within the group and ensures that those charities who want to use our service can continue to do so without pressure of increased fuel charges.
Voluntary Transport for the Disabled have been providing a valued service within the community for 30 years and, with the help of donations from supporters such as your foundation, we will continue to do so.

This will great aid the service we offer with our community transport which operates within the Parish of Kinver by collecting elderly people at bus stops and a door to door service, then transporting them for shopping, pensions, seeing the doctor, dentist or just to visit a friend. Some people also use it to go to the local churches for funerals as the trip to St Peter is very steep.
Tea at 2 Social Group
Thank you for your recent fund sent to our Social Group to provide food for our members. The grant was used to provide the food for a special event that was organised by us in April for all of our members, called ‘Holiday at Home’. A total of 40 people attended, some of which are in their late 80′s, 90′s. Everyone was provided with a breakfast and/or hot buttered tea cakes with pots of jam. Entertainment was also provided. On behalf of every member and the voluntary helpers at Tea At 2 Social Group, I would like to pass on our very grateful thanks to you for giving us this grant.

We arrange transport to collect and return the members to their homes as well as hiring the room and subsidising the lunch, so you can see how much this grant means to us. For some members this might be the only time they get out and they love meeting their friends.
